The price is on the button, in dollars.

Change a setting and the price changes before you press. While a job runs, the most it can cost is held from your balance. For a video render that is a little more than the price on the button, and the amount is written under the button. When the job is done you are charged what it really cost, never more than was held. A job that fails or is refused costs nothing.

  • The rate is shown in full, so seconds times the rate gives the price, to within half a cent. Elsewhere on the site the rate is rounded to the cent.
  • Quoted for a 16:9 frame. 9:16 costs the same. 4:3 is a slightly larger picture and costs a little more: 10 seconds at 720p is $2.91, against $2.89.
  • Sound on or off, the price is the same.
  • A draft is a 480p preview, billed as 480p. Making it final renders that same take at 1080p, billed at the 1080p price for its length: for 10 seconds, $1.29 for the draft and $6.00 for the final. A draft can be made final once, within 7 days. A plain 480p render cannot.

For stills and renders made from words alone, on Seedance 2.5 at 16:9. Type a number, or drag. On GPT Image, reference pictures add to a still, and so does a long prompt: with one, two, three and four reference pictures a low-quality 1K still is about $0.021, $0.034, $0.047 and $0.060, and a real shot that calls four assets (six pictures, since a character sends two, and a long prompt) is about $0.095. A render that is sent a reference video is billed for that video's seconds too. In the app the exact price is on the button before each picture, render and upscale.

How the pricing compares.

One of the lowest prices per clip for Seedance 2.5 at 720p, with no plan to buy first and nothing that expires. Most tools sell a monthly plan of credits, so the fair comparison is what one clip costs once the plan is paid for.

A budget you can hold a team to.

One balance for the organization. A spending limit for each person. The month split into stills, video and upscales, and a line in the history for every job with who ran it.

Each project has a Budget page: what it has spent by scene, sequence, person and model, against a budget you set, with filters and a CSV.

Only the owner holds the card, sets auto top-up and sees receipts.

Pricing questions

Is there a subscription or a price per seat?

No. There is no monthly fee and no charge per person. An organization adds funds to a balance in US dollars and that balance pays for pictures, renders and upscales. You can invite your whole team at no cost.

What is free?

Everything that is not a picture, a render or an upscale: importing a script, the breakdown, planning and writing shots, the asset library, inviting people and connecting your own LLM. Finishing the tutorial in the app adds $3 to your balance once.

Is it free to start, and when do I pay?

Planning is free and needs no card. The $3 from the tutorial in the app pays for your first pictures and a short clip. After that, paid work starts when you add funds, from $25 at a time.

How do I know what something will cost before I make it?

The price is written on the button before you press. While a job runs, the most it can cost is held from your balance. For a video render that is a little more than the price on the button, and the amount is written under the button. When the job is done you are charged what it really cost, never more than was held. A job that fails or is refused costs nothing.

What did the sample film cost to make?

$49.46 at today's prices, for one person in 5 hours: 6 renders (88 seconds of video), one upscale and the stills that are in the finished project. Takes thrown away on the way are not counted. With every render at 720p the same project comes to $29.15; the case study has the rest.

What happens if a picture or a render fails?

It costs nothing. The amount held for it goes back to the balance. That is true of every model offered today, for a picture, a render or an upscale that fails or is refused.

How do I add funds?

By card, from $25 to $1,000 at a time, as often as you like. $25 is the least that can be added. Auto top-up is off until the owner switches it on and authorizes it; it then charges the saved card a set amount when the balance runs low, or when an approved job needs more than the balance holds, up to a ceiling for the month if the owner sets one. Every payment has a receipt. There are no invoices and no separate sales contract: you accept the Terms online, add funds and use the tool.

Do funds expire?

No. Your balance stays until you spend it. The owner can ask in Billing for the unused funds the organization paid for: they go back to the card that paid within 10 business days. Money spent on finished work and promotional credit are not refunded.

Do I need a card to try it?

No. You sign in with Google or an email code. Finishing the tutorial in the app adds $3 to your balance, which is enough for about 10 seconds of 720p video, or for a few stills and a shorter clip.

Can I limit what each person spends?

Yes. The owner or a manager can set a spending limit for each person, by day, week or month. Everyone shares the organization's one balance.

Are funds refundable?

Money spent on finished work is not refunded. The owner of an organization can ask in Billing for a refund of the unused funds it paid for by card: they go back to the card that paid within 10 business days. Promotional credit, such as the award for finishing the tutorial, and funds moved in from another organization are not refundable. While a request is open, new jobs wait and auto top-up is off. Ask before you delete the organization. A job that fails or is refused is never charged in the first place.

Start free. Add funds when you are ready.

No card needed. Finish the tutorial in the app and $3 is added to your balance.
