AI software for making short films.

A short film is a few scenes and a small budget. Plan the whole film for free, see every shot as a still, and pay only for the renders you make.

Why it fits a short film.

  • From your scriptImport a PDF or a .docx, or paste the text. The breakdown finds the scenes, the characters and the places.
  • Free until you renderImporting the script, the breakdown, planning and writing shots, and the asset library cost nothing.
  • Direct every shotSize, lens, move and angle are set on each shot, and a floor map places the camera and the actors.
  • A storyboard that costs centsEach shot is first a still, from $0.015. Fix the framing there, before a render at $0.29 a second.
  • No subscriptionPlanning needs no funds. When you are ready to render, add funds from $25. Your balance never expires, and a month in which you make nothing costs nothing.
  • Made for one person tooAn organization can be just you. Connect your own LLM and it does the typing while you direct.

Every full prompt is open to read in the sample project, inside the app.

3You get the shotThe rendered video

Press a shot to hold on it. Swipe the strip to see all 8.

The plan frames the prompt. A video model can still come up with a shot of its own; the tool helps avoid that and cannot promise it every time.

Know what a shot costs before you make it.

The Generate button shows the price for the length, the resolution and the frame you chose. This is a price demo of its settings: nothing is made or charged on this page.

While a job runs, the most it can cost is held from your balance. For a video render that is a little more than the price on the button, and the amount is written under the button. When the job is done you are charged what it really cost, never more than was held. A job that fails or is refused costs nothing. There is nothing to pay in a month when you make nothing.

Questions about short films.

What does a short film cost to make?

Planning is free. A still is from $0.015 and video is $0.29 a second at 720p, to the nearest cent: a 5-second shot is $1.44. What a film comes to depends on how many takes you make; the calculator on the pricing page adds it up.

Can I make one alone?

Yes. An organization can be one person. Connect your own LLM and it writes the shot lists while you direct, and nothing is spent until you approve it.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Planning is free. Finishing the tutorial in the app adds $3 to your balance. After that you add funds in dollars, from $25 at a time, and pay for each picture and render. The balance never expires.

Open the finished project. Then make yours.

No card needed. Finish the tutorial in the app and $3 is added to your balance.
