Filming in Little Rock
State government, healthcare systems, and finance. Executive interviews and institutional brand films are the core of what we produce in the capital.
The Arkansas State Capitol is a near-replica of the US Capitol and has stood in for it more than once — full classical government architecture, interior and exterior, in a city compact enough to cross in twenty minutes. The Clinton Presidential Center answers it with a cantilevered modern building out over the river, and between them the River Market District puts brick warehouses, pedestrian bridges and the Arkansas River inside a single downtown production area.
More on filming in Little Rock
Hillcrest and the Heights supply mature tree-lined streets and early-twentieth-century houses when a brief needs somewhere people actually live. Moisture softens the light year-round and heavy canopy gives dappled shade rather than the hard shadow of the western markets, with dependable autumn colour through the surrounding hills. Arkansas has no state-level film permit, so the City of Little Rock is the authority for public property and street closures — North Little Rock, directly across the river, runs its own separate process. Clinton National is five miles east, Pinnacle Mountain rises twenty-five minutes west, and Hot Springs' intact bathhouse row is an hour southwest.
Institutional and river-based settings define the city. Hillcrest and the Heights provide mature residential streets and early-twentieth-century houses.
April through May and October into early November are the strongest exterior periods. Summer temperatures reach the 90s with heavy humidity. Winters are mild, spring carries severe-weather risk, and the surrounding hills develop dependable autumn color. Moisture softens the light throughout the year; tree cover creates dappled shade rather than the hard shadow of the western markets.
Arkansas has no state-level film permit, and the City of Little Rock is the local authority. Public-property work and street closures remain city matters, while North Little Rock, directly across the river, runs a separate filming-request process. Short drives and straightforward staging keep the schedule compact. Clinton National Airport is about five miles east of downtown. Pinnacle Mountain rises about 25 minutes west. Hot Springs is roughly an hour southwest. Petit Jean State Park is about 90 minutes northwest.
As a video production company, we work across Arkansas, including Fayetteville and Bentonville. If your shoot spans more than one city, we plan it as a single production rather than separate trips.
